Beyond taught lessons and extra curricular:
The Department aims to offer all students in Key Stage 3 the opportunity to participate in fieldwork outside the classroom.
Year 7 River & Rowing Museum, Henley
Year 8 Studland Bay Dorset,
Year 9 Natural History museum
In Key Stage 4 Fieldwork is a compulsory part of GCSE. The Department is currently using Dinton Pasture Country Park, Wokingham for this work.
Key Stage 5 Geography spend a minimum of 1 day in the field as part of the course. We are currently planning to offer a residential fieldwork experience to all A2 students.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in activities with the Geographical Association and in the last year have also attended lectures and workshops at both Bournemouth and Reading Universities.
