KS5 main curricular themes or areas of study:

AS Geography

Module 1; Core Concepts in Physical Geography ( Water on the land, Climatic Hazards & Change, Energy & Life)
Module 2; Core Concepts in Human Geography (Population Dynamics, Settlement Processes & Patterns)
Module 3; Geographical skills – this includes a minimum of 1 day compulsory fieldwork.

A2 Geography

Module 4; Change & Challenge in the Natural Environment ( Coasts, Geomorphological processes & Hazards, Cold environments & Human activity)
Module 5; Change & Challenge in the Human environment ( Population pressure & resources, managing cities, Recreation & Tourism)
Students can either do Unit 6 Individual Fieldwork or Module 7 Fieldwork examination.

Leisure and Tourism is also available as a subject

Sixth Form enrichment community opportunities offered:

Key Stage 5 students are invited to assist with Key stage 3 classes. Often involved when lower school classes are completing fieldwork tasks within the school grounds.
