Key Stage 3
At Key Stage 3 students generally start by studying at the level above what they acheived at Key Stage 2. They will cover many topics, some of which will be familiar and many will be new. They come under four main headings: Number, Shape and Space, Algebra and Handling Data. Students are grouped together with others of a similar ability and teachers will do everything they can to make lessons exciting and enjoyable. We use interactive whiteboards, games and text books to help you learn. There are also opportunities for investigational work. During key stage 3 there are also opportunities to represent the school in both local and national competitions. In May of Year 9 students take their key stage 3 examination.
