Key Stage 4
At Key Stage 4 AQA Mathematics B is taken at either Higher level or Foundation level. We follow the AQA Exam Course using specification B. Each level consists of 3 modules.
Module 1: Statistics. The module 1 exam is taken in November of Year 10 and contributes 18% towards the final GCSE mark.
Module 3: Number. The module 3 exam is taken in June of Year 10 and is a further 27% towards the final exam.
Module 5: Algebra and Shape, Space and Measure. The module 5 exam is taken at the end of Year 11 and contributes the remaining 55% of the GCSE mark.
Before each exam the maths department provides revision classes to all students after school. The students are advised when these are and everyone is welcome.
