My Child at School
Easthampstead Park Community School is now set up to use the Bromcom MyChildAtSchool system to allow parents and carers access to attendance, behaviour and assessment data. The following notes will give you a brief guide of how the system operates.
The first screen you will see at www.mychildatschool.com
is the
logon screen shown above.
You will need...
- School ID = 10981
- a User Name and
- a Password...these will be provided for you.
Once your details have been validated the first time you log on, you will be invited to add personal details for the purposes of retrieval of your logon details in case you forget them.
"At this moment in time, there is a fault which gives a ‘page 404 error'. Please bypass this by clicking on the button labelled ‘later' - you will be advised when this is operational again."
Once entered you will pass onto the HomePage shown below.
This page gives a summary of all the information held about your son/daughter. All information is ‘live' at the point of entering the web page and is updated in real time if the web page is revisited. Clicking on the ‘more...' button at the bottom of any section will take you to a more detailed page.
Above is the page for the attendance module. There is a summary in Pie Chart form with the day to day attendance data in colour coded format. Green boxes mean full attendance for the day
- Pink boxes mean there was a late at some point
- Blue boxes represent authorised absence and
- Red boxes mean unauthorised absence.
Hovering over any one day will bring up a ‘pop-up' box with a lesson by lesson breakdown of attendance as below.
*Please note that due to the physical restraints of subjects such as Physical Education and the fact their teachers are not always able to access their laptops during lessons, attendance marks will often be added later.*
The same operations are available for Behaviour, which lists both positive and negative behaviour events registered for a student. The Timetable area gives access to either the student's timetable for the week or the school academic calendar, for parents wishing to check inset days and school holiday dates. The Assessment area will come on line later this year when school reports will be available to view. In addition, homework setting will also be added later in the year to advise when students have been set homework, with a brief note about what is required.
Easthampstead Park Community School is the first School in the Bracknell Borough to take this step. The requirement from the government is that all Secondary Schools provide this form of access by September 2010. Feedback is most welcome. Please contact us with observations and comments about the system.
