Unit 1: Particles, Quantum Phenomena and Electricity - One examination in June

Unit 2: Mechanics, Materials and Wave - One examination in January

Unit 3: Practical unit - ISA assessment

Assessments: Internal end of topic tests, regular homework, ISAs and A-level mock exams, final exams.

Year 13 (A2 Level, New AQA Syllabus, Physics A)

Unit 4: Further Mechanics & Fields

Unit 5: Nuclear & Thermal Physics & Optional module

Unit 6: Practical unit - ISA Assessment

Assessments: Internal end of topic tests, regular homework, ISAs and A-level mock exams, final exams.

Why is it a useful qualification?

The course is a sound preparation for degree-level and other higher education courses in physics and related sciences, engineering, and medicine as well as chemical engineering and related programmes.
