On December 12th a group of year 7 students got the opportunity to visit the River and Rowing Museum in Henley on Thames. We had a wonderful time experimenting in the education centre, looking at river processes and the causes of flooding. We enjoyed a beautiful walk along the Thames and learned about how the river has changed over time and how people have adapted to living alongside the river. We also spent some time in the gallery, putting ourselves into the shoes of various characters and learning about how flooding has impacted on them. The museum tutor was very impressed with the students knowledge and attentiveness, stating that they were an excellent group of children. It was a fantastic day out enjoyed by all!
A special thank you to student Logan for acting as photographer for the day!
