1977 – 1986

What are you most proud of?
My family.

What is your favourite memory from school?
Winning the Berkshire Schools 800m track title in 1983.

Would you do anything differently if you had your time at school again?
Not really, even the tough days provided valuable learning.

What is the most valuable thing you learned at school?
That sticking by your beliefs and values keeps you in good stead for adult life.

What did you do immediately after leaving school?
Became a Trainee Manager for the John Lewis Partnership, before moving on to policing in 1988. 

Did you go to a college/university?
I studied and completed a Masters Degree in Applied Criminology at the University of Cambridge.

What is your current job?
Chief Superintendent, with Thames Valley Police, currently seconded to the National Police Chiefs Council and working at the Home Office in London.

What region do you currently live in?
West Berkshire

What one piece of advice would you give to our students?

Work as hard as you play, and always have a back-up plan.
