What does this Course lead to?
This course could lead to reading Psychology at university as well as being useful for other subjects such as business, sports science, law, teaching and English, to name a few. Studying psychology is also useful for careers not just in Psychology and Psychiatry but business, law, social work, teaching, and medicine.

What will I study

Year 12 Psychology covers social influence, memory, attachment, Psychopathology, biopsychology and psychological approaches and methods.

Year 13 Psychology covers options from relationships, gender, development and cognition, schizophrenia, eating behaviour, stress, forensic psychology, aggression and addiction, as well as building on research methods and issues and debates from Year 12.

What are the benefits of studying this course and what will I gain from it?

Psychology is a fascinating subject which looks at how the brain works, how people function and various psychological disorders; their diagnosis and symptoms, and how the disorders are treated.

How will I be assessed

Assessment is by exam, there are three, two hour exams at A level.
