Dear Parents/Carers

Wellbeing Challenges for Friday 29 January 2021

As per our recent letter, on Friday 29 January, rather than live online lessons, students will complete a range of wellbeing challenges, selected from the menu of activities attached to this email.  The wellbeing activities menu has also been shared with your child by their Head of Year.

Students will still be expected to log on to Google Meet for am PREP and pm Registration at the normal times. This means that students will still have a live ‘check in’ with their tutor at the start and end of the day. I would be grateful if you could make sure they are clear about this expectation.

We know you have been working really hard with your remote learning and as a reward, we are providing you with a ‘Pause for Pupils’ day. During this day you will not have any live lessons, however, you will be expected to select from the menu below some activities to complete during this day. You will still be expected to attend PREP and PM Reg during this day where you will be completing guided reading, and sharing with your form tutor, what you will be doing and what you have completed during this day.

Take your dog for a walk / go out for a walk – stay safe and follow Government guidance. Bake a cake – you must get permission first. Write a letter to a neighbor who lives alone. Clean/tidy your bedroom Create a birthday card for a family member who has a birthday soon.
Make a thank you card for someone. Make a homemade gift for someone. Check-in with a friend. Play games with family. Create a game to play with family.
Wash your parent’s car – you must get permission first Make a bookmark – link this to the book you are currently reading. Help around the house, empty the bins, wash up, hoover. Create your own diary – record life in your home, online school, and the news. Dance Fitness Yoga – Cosmic Kids Yoga
Do a Joe Wicks keep fit workout – Joe Wicks Make a model of something historical – create your own castle. Listen to a podcast. Read a book. Get arty
